Series Listing

The Wendy Hilton Dance & Music series presents scholarly studies at the intersections of dance and music as artistic practices, cultural productions, and historical undertakings, including studies of Renaissance dance treatises; facsimile editions of 18th- and 19th-century dance books; the French ballet de cour; and dance and instrumental diferencias in 17th- and early 18th-century Spain. Series books have also focused on early modernist choreographies and late 20th-century projects for staging them; modernist dance theorists; and the “public balls” produced at the Paris Opera in the 18th century.
