Frequently Asked QuestionsFor authors:How can I submit a manuscript?Pendragon Press invites book proposals from the authors of scholarly or general-interest works on music. Initial inquiries about publication should be made directly to the appropriate editor at the Press. Please do not send complete manuscripts. For computer security reasons, we do not accept unsolicited email submissions, and any email message containing attachments will be ignored. Prospectuses should be sent to the following address: Pendragon Press Please submit your proposal to only one editor. Materials will be shared and redistributed among editors if appropriate. We recommend that a book prospectus include the following:
Your proposal will receive an initial review by a Pendragon Press editor. If that editor finds it a suitable match for the publishing program of the press, the editor will send the proposal to outside readers for peer review, a process that can take several weeks. If you have not heard back from us within eight weeks, contact us again to make sure we have received your material. For Current Authors:Pendragon Press is pleased to be publishing your work. We will do our best to carry it through the publishing process as expeditiously as possible and to produce an attractive, high-quality book. We ask that you help us accomplish these goals by taking the time to read the following guidelines and by preparing your manuscript in accordance with them. In addition, below you’ll find all the forms for information we need about you and your manuscript. Please fill these out and return them to us according to the noted deadlines.
