Pendragon Press invites book proposals from the authors of scholarly or general-interest works on music. Initial inquiries about publication should be made directly to the appropriate editor at the Press. Please do not send complete manuscripts. For computer security reasons, we do not accept unsolicited email submissions, and any email message containing attachments will be ignored.

We recommend that a book prospectus include the following:
Your proposal will receive an initial review by a Pendragon Press editor. If that editor finds it a suitable match for the publishing program of the press, the editor will send the proposal to outside readers for peer review, a process that can take several weeks.
If you have not heard back from us within eight weeks, contact us again to make sure we have received your material.
Pendragon Press is pleased to be publishing your work. We will do our best to carry it through the publishing process as expeditiously as possible and to produce an attractive, high-quality book. We ask that you help us accomplish these goals by taking the time to read the following guidelines and by preparing your manuscript in accordance with them.
