Pendragon Press: Submissions

Proposals

Pendragon Press invites book proposals from the authors of scholarly or general-interest works on music. Your proposal should contain:

• a brief description of the content and focus of the book, including its scope, purpose, and distinctive approach
• a table of contents or chapter outline
• information concerning how much of the manuscript is currently available and a projected completion date
• professional information about the author, including previous publications.

You may send this information by email or postal mail. Please do not send large files by email.

Your proposal will receive an initial review by a Pendragon Press editor. If that editor finds it a suitable match for the publishing program of the press, the editor will send the proposal to outside readers for peer review, a process that can take several weeks.

If you have not heard back from us within eight weeks, contact us again to make sure we have received your material. Please do not send extensive material such as an entire manuscript unless requested to do so by the editor.
